The most expensive tires are not the best

The German bilistorganisationen The ADAC has now published the this year’s test of the summer. The result is somewhat disappointing since then, a number of well known brands, got really bad results. The ADAC tested 16, the tire models are for the medium range and the 15 for FUN, and comparing them with a reference model.

The best of the cars is according to this test, the Pirelli Cinturato P1 Verde, followed closely by the Bridgestone Turanza T001, Continentel PremiumContact 5 GoodyearEfficientGrip Performance. On the FUN side was the Goodyear EfficientGrip SUV, with the highest rating, by quite a comfortable margin to the runner-up for Cooper Zeon 4x’s Sports.

Really, really badly on the other hand SUV tires Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport, and the Michelin Latitude Tour HP, which is also among the most expensive tires in the test. At the very worst, it was for the Yokohama Geolandar SUV, which has received the lowest possible rating, with the rating “very weak on wet road surfaces, and is weak in the dry”. The worst score of the mellanklassacken got the GT Radial Champiro FE1, but it still ended up in the context of a rating of “adequate”.

No the tires in the test came close to any honours, and the majority of those came in the grade-based groups “adequate” or “sufficient”.
